Choosing the right system for your entrance
Swing or sliding electric gates?
Every property presents different challenges. Available space, driveway gradient, ground conditions, gate weight, traffic levels and access requirements all affect the final recommendation.
That is why we survey the entrance before specifying a gate or automation system.
Swing gates
Swing gates offer a traditional appearance and suit many residential entrances. They require enough clear driveway space for the gate leaves to open safely.
They are available in a wide range of metal, timber and aluminium designs and can use underground, articulated-arm or linear-arm automation where suitable.
Sliding gates
Sliding gates move sideways rather than opening into the driveway. They can work well for wider entrances, sloping driveways, commercial sites and properties where opening depth is limited.
The entrance must have enough side space for the gate to travel safely when opening.

Design, fabrication and automation under one team
A dependable automatic entrance needs more than a good-looking gate. The structure, hinges, motors, control panel, electrical supply, safety equipment and access controls must all be designed to work together.
Our team manages these elements as one project.
Pete oversees gate design, fabrication and mechanical work. Jack oversees electrical installation, automation and access control. This joined-up approach reduces unnecessary handovers and gives you one experienced team from the initial survey through to commissioning.
Where new gates are required, they are fabricated to the agreed measurements, design and finish. The automation is then selected around the gate size, weight, wind exposure, opening geometry and expected frequency of use.

Initial discussion
Tell us whether you need new electric gates, automation for an existing entrance, access control, repairs or planned maintenance. We’ll also confirm the property location and the appropriate regional team.

Fabrication & preparation
Where new gates are required, they are fabricated to the agreed design. Groundwork, posts, cabling and other site preparations are coordinated before installation.

Site survey
We assess measurements, opening space, ground conditions, electrical requirements, gate movement, access needs and any relevant safety considerations.

Installation & testing
Our team installs the gates, motors, control equipment, protective devices and access controls. The complete system is configured and tested before handover.

Design & quotation
You receive a recommended gate and automation solution based on the entrance, intended use and required level of access control.

Handover & support
We demonstrate normal operation, access controls and the manual-release procedure. Servicing, repairs and ongoing support remain available through the appropriate regional team.
